An applied gold shield sits on an engraved field at the center of the medal, hand-engraved with the initials "JDF." The back of the medal bears the personal inscription "St Neots Dancing 1924." The pin secures with a classic C-clasp.
The medal has hallmarks for Birmingham, sterling silver, and 1924. It bears the maker's mark "W.A" for Birmingham silversmith William Adams Ltd.
