An uncanny mask brooch from Trifari. Glossy, glowing gold-tone costume metal is the perfect medium for this strange piece. Empty eyes stare out from the stylized face, reminiscent of a Greek chorus or a traditional West African mask. Leaves frame the mask like a lion's mane or the forest god Green Man. Fastens securely with a rollover clasp. Signed with a Crown Trifari mark. Circa 1970.
